Class of 2025 Promotion Pictures! – Tomorrow, Tuesday, April 15th, 2025, will be Picture Day at Wolf Canyon! However, for our sixth graders, they will be taking their PROMOTION PICTURES!!!! Our sixth graders will be wearing a cap and gown to commemorate the end of their elementary schooling. The picture will be used for end-of-year certificates and you will have the option to order prints to keep. Since students will be wearing caps and gowns, students do not have to dress up. Students may style their hair as the cap doesn’t cover the entire top of the head. Where has the time gone???

CAASPP Testing Window – This year, we are scheduled for CAASPP testing on the following dates:
- April 19th – May 2nd: Our plan is to provide testing windows on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday to complete the ELA portion. Approximately two days to complete the Computer Adaptive Test (CAT), and about two days to complete the Performance Task (PT).
- May 5th – May 8th: Our plan is to provide testing windows on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday to complete the Math portion. Approximately two days to complete the CAT, and about two days to complete the PT.
Camp Supplies – Please carefully go through the camp supplies list. A suggestion would be to put all clothes and toiletries into a suitcase. The sleeping bag and pillow should be placed in a trash bag. Pack an extra trash bag to quickly put sleeping bag and pillow to go home. Make sure to label ALL belongings!

Camp Gear – If you would like to purchase camp gear for your child, it must be done online. There will be no sales at camp so please do no send any money. Items purchased will be distributed at camp.

Nightly Homework – Please make sure your child is getting daily practice by ensuring they do their homework nightly, Monday through Friday. Students will utilize a daily planner to keep track of daily practice. Please initial nightly and sign at the end of the week. Every night, your child should be:
- Reading for at least 30 minutes
- Completing approximately 20 minutes of math practice on either Teams, IXL.com, or iReady
- Playing iReady for 15 minutes, Monday through Thursday
Accelerated Reader – We are on week 2 of our 9-week quarter. That means your child should have approximately 22% of their AR goal.
