We hope everyone had a fantastic break and we are looking forward to an amazing end to your student’s time at Wolf Canyon Elementary. The end of sixth grade is always a bittersweet time with lots of fun and exciting activities – yet with the understanding of our time together is coming to an end. Here’s to a beautiful and unforgettable ending to sixth grade and the start of a fulfilled next step in your child’s academic journey!
Sixth Grade Camp Forms and Payment
Please turn in your child’s camp forms and payment THIS FRIDAY, APRIL 11TH, 2025. The camp packet should have a GREEN front cover. Inside, you’ll find all the forms and information needed for this year’s camp. See below which forms are required and which forms are as needed.
How to go to camp:
1. Look for your child’s camp packet. It should look like this:

2. Complete TWO REQUIRED PINK HEALTH FORMS. They should look like this:


3. Complete ONLY IF NECESSARY Medication Authorization Form if your child is bringing ANY prescribed or over-the-counter medicine. In addition, you must have your doctor’s approval before attending camp. We will need TWO COPIES. One will be turned in on collection day and the other copy you must place your child’s medication bag when you drop it off to our school nurse prior to camp The forms should look like this:

4. Complete ONLY IF NECESSARY Special Meals and Accommodations form if your child has any dietary needs or requires and special accommodations. If the need is due to medical reasons, you must have your doctor’s approval before attending camp. It should look like this:

5. Send in payment with forms. This year, camp will cost $360. This will cover the entire week at camp – lodging, food, activities, etc… This also includes transportation of your camper and their luggage. No extra money will be needed at camp. We will accept cash and checks. Please make all checks payable to: Wolf Canyon Elementary. Your child will receive a receipt to verify payment. Please keep the receipt in a safe place!
Please send in your child’s camp payment and forms on APRIL 11, 2025.
6. That’s it. The next step is to get excited and make sure to have all your supplies ready to go!!! We’re going camping!!!!!!
Camp Supplies – Please carefully go through the camp supplies list. A suggestion would be to put all clothes and toiletries into a suitcase. The sleeping bag and pillow should be placed in a trash bag. Pack an extra trash bag to quickly put sleeping bag and pillow to go home. Make sure to label ALL belongings!

Camp Gear – If you would like to purchase camp gear for your child, it must be done online. There will be no sales at camp so please do no send any money. Items purchased will be distributed at camp.

Cotillion Food Donations – With just two weeks left, our amazing food committee would like to ask for some help with the food for this year’s event. Please see the link below and contribute if possible. You may send non-perishable items to your child’s teacher anytime leading up to the event. Thank you!

Wolf Canyon Class of 2025 Cotillion

Details:
- Date: Friday, April 18th, 2025
- Program will begin promptly at 5:00pm.
- Students should report to respective classroom no later than 4:45pm.
- This event is for the sixth grade student and their parents only.
- Attire:
- Boys: Nice pants and top. Can be any color. No jeans.
- Girls: Dress, skirt, nice pants, or blouse. Can be any color. No jeans.
- All attire must be appropriate for school.
- We will be serving light snacks and refreshments.
Nightly Homework – Please make sure your child is getting daily practice by ensuring they do their homework nightly, Monday through Friday. Students will utilize a daily planner to keep track of daily practice. Please initial nightly and sign at the end of the week. Every night, your child should be:
- Reading for at least 30 minutes
- Completing approximately 20 minutes of math practice on either Teams, IXL.com, or iReady
- Playing iReady for 15 minutes, Monday through Thursday
Accelerated Reader – We are on week 1 of our 9-week quarter. That means your child should have approximately 11% of their AR goal. We expect all students in sixth grade to read for one hour each day, Monday through Friday. Students read for 30 minutes in class daily and should also be reading for 30 minutes for homework.
